From November 5-7, 2024, the Smart City Expo World Congress took place in Barcelona, Spain, serving as the world’s leading event for urban innovation and smart city development. This annual gathering brought together global leaders, city representatives, and innovators to share insights and solutions for building greener, more efficient, and inclusive urban environments.
The OCEANIDS team participated in this influential event to explore opportunities for future collaboration and to connect with stakeholders aligned with the project’s objectives. While primarily networking and exploratory, the team used the event as a platform to pitch OCEANIDS’ ongoing work and its relevance to coastal cities and port authorities. These interactions aimed to foster connections for potential partnerships and prepare for presenting concrete solutions at next year’s event.
